There may not be heavy ventilation in an awning window as these must be tilted from the bottom to open. The single and the double hung window types are quite similar, and the style differs only on the basis of the sashes that can be opened. Only one sash can be opened in the single hung window.

Bay windows are a window pattern where there is one window in the centre, and accompanied by two or more other windows on the sides. These types of windows jut out of the wall, and are either double hung or casement type of windows.

A bow window comprises of over three sections that stick out from the wall to form a bow like bend.

Tilt turn are simply a great safety option that has a lock system in the centre. This type of window can be tilted completely, and that is what makes this a sleek pick that is quite easy to clean. It also has all the features that make it the perfect emergency exit.

Egress windows provide a perfect emergency exit as these are the same size as defined by building codes. They are typically used in bedrooms.

A storm window is the perfect choice for any house that expects to counter storms and other harsh climatic conditions. That is because this type of window has an air space between it and the window. This serves as great padding and safeguards the house from hot or cold climate.
